History
Telatek was founded in 1977 in Raahe by Jaakko Tenkula. Ever since the beginning, the company has utilized advanced techniques in overhauls and repairs. Advanced technical solutions, combined with modern expertise and project management competence ensure efficient, safe, and reliable operation for the customers.
Key milestones:
- 1977 Telatek Oy founded in Raahe
- 1985 Rautaruukki established the Taivalkoski workshop
- 1989 Tespal Oy founded in Nokia
- 1993 TE-Coating Oy founded in Raahe
- 1998 Telatek acquired the Taivalkoski workshop
- 2005 Atlantia Oy acquired Telatek and TE-Coating
- 2008 Atlantia Oy acquired Tespal
- 2010 Tespal Oy became Telatek Nokia Oy
- 2010 Telatek Group
- 2011 TE-Coating Oy became Telatek Quality Oy
- 2012 Telatek Porvoo service centre opened
- 2013 Workshop and repair operations separated – Telatek Service Oy was founded
- 2014 Telatek Kittilä service centre opened
- 2019 Telatek Oy changed name to Telatek Works Oy
- 2020 Telatek Naantali service centre opened
- 2024 Auroora Yhtiöt Oyj acquired Telatek Service
