One of our special competencies is the repair welding of large pieces. The process varies from case to case. Our experts analyze the materials to be repaired, survey damages, and plan a repair procedure for the work.
Welding coating
Welding coating is used when a piece is badly worn or requires a new, wear-resistant surface.
Improving abrasive, erosive, and corrosive wear resistance
Several industrial devices require materials to protect them from intensive wear or corrosion. Telatek Service has developed suitable coatings for various uses, designed to prevent abrasive, erosive, and corrosive wear. Thanks to an extensive selection of welding materials and coating methods, we can select the optimal coatings method for your needs.
PTA welding
PTA welding is proof of our continuous process development. PTA welding has a narrower and more efficient arc than traditional welding. It also transfers less heat to the piece, minimizing the HAZ zone. This is beneficial in e.g. the repair welding of crusher axles, where the worn and damaged surface is filled back to its original dimensions.
This method also enables efficient welding of Inconel alloys, carbides, and stellites in e.g. valve surfaces.
Typical welding applications include
Steam and gas turbine sealing surfaces
Turbine housings and inner housings
Turbine blades and labyrinths
Crushers
Mills and drums
Axles
Coatings of pump rotors, housings, suction, and pressure ends (stelliting)
Coatings of valve sealing surfaces and shanks
Autoclaves
Reactors
Boilers
Filters
Cyclones
Feeding and conveyor screws
Fan parts
Steam preheaters (nuclear power plants)
Power plant boiler repair and coating
Coatings of valve sealing surfaces and shanks
Offshore and onshore structures
Machine rolls and cylinders
Wind turbine foundation steel structures, bearing and sealing surfaces
Chemical tanks
Pulleys
Heat insulation and heat seal coatings (zirconium oxides)
